ELSA SUPPORT

ELSAs are specialist teaching assistants who have received specific additional training and support from educational psychologists. Our role is to support children to feel happy in school and to understand and regulate their own emotions whilst also respecting the feelings of those around them.  This will, in turn, help them to reach their full potential educationally.

We deliver ELSA sessions in a quiet room, specially furnished to provide a calm and safe area, where individuals and small groups can take part in a range of activities such as; games, arts and crafts, Lego therapy, etc.

Please use the link to see our leaflet which gives more information.

If you feel that your child might benefit from taking part in ELSA sessions please speak to your child’s class teacher or Mrs Laywood or Mrs Stone, who are the ELSAs at St. Peter’s.
